Data Conclusion
The dryer the environment the more the gelatin coated grass seeds outperformed the normal grass seeds. In the two driest environments, (cultures 3 and 4) the gelatin coated seeds grew to heights of both 0.3 and 0.1 cm. whereas the normal grass seed in those environments didn’t grow at all. The gelatin coating on the grass seed soaked up all the water it could when water was provided, so the gelatin coated seed had water during the dry days whereas the normal seed did not have water. The gelatin allowed the Grass to mature faster than the grass seed without a gelatin coating. I stored the grass seed outside, which is not a controlled environment. It rained a couple of times throughout the experiment, which gave the grass more water than what was intended for the experiment.
