plan
I have chosen to explore the effect that coating grass seed with gelatin would have on how often it would need to be watered per day to get it established. I will test both normal and gelatin coated seeds in three different environments, each different environment will be watered different amounts each day. The grass which grows the tallest height in centimeters will be considered the most successful.
steps to do the plan
- Fill an 8x4in container with 1 inch of potting soil
- Divide the container evenly
- Place 50 gelatin coated grass seeds on one side
- Place 50 normal grass seeds on the other side
- Mark which side has which seed
- Repeat steps 1-5 four times
- Mark the containers 1-4
- Water container 1 with 2 cup of water every day
- Water container 2 with 2 cup of water every 2 days
- Water container 3 with 2 cup of water every 3 days
- Water container 4 with 2 cup of water every 4 days
- Record height of the grass petals in centimeters
- Record for 2 weeks
